As a mom of 8 beautiful kids I am excited to share some of the recipes that we've enjoyed at family mealtime and the stories that go behind them. "Food is so pleasureful and powerful that it plays an essential role in creating a home that works. For your home to feel solid, meaningful, dignified and warm, you must have the means and skills to produce good, nutritious food, to dream up pleasant menus, and to set the table and serve the food in an attractive manner that is familiar and comfortable to guests. Delicious Peach Crisp

This peach crisp is so flavorful and absolutely delicious!
We have some wonderful neighbors that have a fruit orchard!  Their peaches are absolutely succulent!
(Timmy even got a lesson in picking fruit...)

Recipe:
6 cups peaches
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp grated lemon zest
 cinnamon

Oat crust
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup rolled oats

Prepare fruit by peeling and slicing ( I know there are faster methods, but I don't mind peeling!  I love trying to do it all in one peel! :)

Add sugar, flour, lemon zest (gives it a zing!) Pour into 13x9 pan or 2-quart baking dish

Sprinkle cinnamon generously on top

Prepare topping by mixing butter, brown sugar, flour and oats in a food processor or by hand with a pastry blender until crumbly
Sprinkle over fruit mixture
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes until crisp is bubbling.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!!!!  So delicious!
